I feel that there is an unlimited creative potential in mixed media; going as far as the mind can take it. Fabric, textiles, beads, wood, wire, feathers, paints, etc. I literally see useful elements everywhere I go. I see Art...everywhere. .Grayson's Thoughts
I enjoy creating art on the computers because I like the ability to make changes quickly. Painting and drawing are my first muses plus fabrics sculpture and woodcraft are what I'm into now. All of these meduims allows me expand my intuitive abilities to create.
The Process
For a time I was creating only in black and white, then one day a friend tolled me to get off my but and paint in color so I took his advise and never looked back. Color is my thing when I create. My creative mind will kick into overdrive with images and ideas coming to me at any time of the night or day. Sometimes the idea will come in parts or it will be a complete image with it's full color palette In the form of a completed colorful picture. I like to meditating about the image or idea a little. I will shake off any uncertainty if there is any and throw down. The use of color, abstract shapes, dots and the illusion of line, whether it is painting ,drawing or mixed media, this is my way of communicating my thoughts and feelings. As an artist, I love to create abstract worlds. Some pieces give a sense of action, others can be very peaceful. What I enjoy the most about making art, is the creative process that literally make me jump for joy at my table. This joy I feel, is the spark that encourages additional works of art.
Many people have said to me that they can't draw a stick figure or a straight line. I feel that people sell themselves short by believing this. Everyone is an artist yet they don't realize they are. Many people have said to me that they can't draw a stick figure or a straight line. I feel that people sell themselves short by believing this. Everyone is an artist yet they don't realize they are. When people engage themselves towards something of importances, putting our heat and soul towards something they love to do, that's when they become the artist. When a person is cleaning up, or gardening, cooking up something, the artist always emerges The focus of the stick figure is not about shoing your talent it is process of love you put behind it
